SERP (Search Engine Results Page)

The page of results a search engine returns for a query.

Definition

The SERP is what a user sees after searching. Modern SERPs mix organic links, ads, map packs, featured snippets and AI overviews, so ranking 'first' now means competing for attention against many result types, not just position one.

Example

For 'coffee shop Dubai Marina', the SERP might show a map pack, three ads and ten organic listings, all competing for the click.
